Make Ubi’s Grilled Cheese Sandwiches at Home!

Our gourmet grilled sandwiches were much loved by the community as well as by the staff of Ubi’s! As sad as we all are to see them go, it is quite a relief as Ubi’s was always first and foremost a retail store. Running a cafe and or restaraunt is a lot of work! With the extra space, time and energy we will be able to expand on our offerings to the community. I am very excited to be able to add many products and services over the next several months!   How to get our unique Gourmet Grilled Cheese flavour at home:    What you need:  Skillet – I use cast iron at home...

Our Tomato soup was made with several Ubi’s spice blends and ingredients. Loved by many, we are sharing the recipe so you can have this unique and wonderful flavor at home whenever the craving strikes! Modify and/or morph leftover soup into pasta sauce (the spread we used on our Pizzalicious grilled cheese) or for a Chili base. Yup, our Tomato soup was the base for our awesome Chili as well!   What we used: 2 – 15 ounce canned organic tomates or you can boil fresh – 3 pounds tomatoes 1 – 13.5 ounce can coconut milk 1 – small-medium sweet onion 1 TBSP Olive...

Guayusa is a relative to Yerba Mate, both have caffeine and both are native to South America, but Guayusa is said to be slightly higher in caffeine and higher anti-oxidant levels. It also...

Chill Out at Ubi’s

Summer is here and man is it hot! We been waiting all year to enjoy the Best Coffee in Tacoma iced under peak conditions: full sun and temperatures over 70 degrees. What makes Ubi’s iced drinks so special? The same thing that makes all our drinks the best: Lack of artificial ingredients and corn syrups as well as using organic and fresh ingredients when we make our flavors. Instead of Monsanto for a silent partner, we chose Mother Nature. Try as they might, men in lab coats will never outdo what occurs naturally. And push button coffee will never compare to fresh ground, authentic...
